Find Familiar Changes

The newest iteration of the find familiar spell allows us to summon any CR0 beast as our familiar.

This gets much better when we also consider that Nystul’s magical aura has been updated, and the RAW of the spell now states that the formerly ‘broken’ reading is the correct one, that creature types can essentially be changed by the spell for the purposes of magic. This allows us to make any CR0 creature our familiar

While there are many good picks for this; such as a living demiplane, I have a particular creature in mind

Juvenile Mimic

The Juvenile mimic is a CR0 monstrosity with the unique ability to polymorph itself into any object.

> Shape-Shift. The mimic polymorphs into an object or back into its true, amorphous form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Any object could also be magical objects, opening up the possibility of a ring of 3 wishes, meaning we can have infinite wishes from level one.

Even discounting infinite wishes and magical items [this theoretically makes a mighty servant of luek-o for us, for free, absorbing our familiars soul in the process], we can start every combat with a catapult munition in our hand, and have the familiar turn back into the Juvenile mimic form once it explodes.

even keeping our familiar safe, we can manifest it as a cannon for siege reasons. Basically anything in the conjuration wizard guide applies and even some larger things, because there is no size limit or gp limit on the objects the familiar can be. We can produce an airship or a spelljammer, a boat, a diamond worth nigh infinite money, a white ghost orchid seed, any trinket, oversized weapon, sleep grenades, The Incantations of Iriolarthas, a Paralysis Pistol, ect ect.
